The biggest-selling version of the song was recorded by Teresa Brewer with the Dixieland All-Stars on 20 December 1949, and released by London Records as catalog number 604. It became a #1 hit and a million-seller in 1950. It became Brewer's signature song and earned her the nickname "Miss Music".

If you look closely you can see worn peck marks in this piece of branch. The sound is tuned just right. Note the son is almost as big as dad but has a orange sort of Mohawk crest spiky crest and not all the flight feathers are completely in. Their nest was deep in the jungle behind the Backyard and I could not find it among the many large pine trees.
