Barn Find Hunter | 1972 De Tomaso Pantera Entombed in Trailer for 35 Years - Ep. 22
We left our viewers hanging at the end of the last episode of The Barn Find Hunter, but classic car aficionado and host Tom Cotter is back and ready to reveal one of the show's most significant finds so far. In this episode, Tom uses bolt cutters to open the door of a trailer and pulls back a car cover to reveal a 1972 De Tomaso Pantera L that hasn't seen sunlight in three decades. The rare Italian sports car (with a Ford 351 engine) was in the midst of restoration/modification before being locked away. Its claim to fame, in addition to its divine looks, is that it competed in the 1980 U.S. Express, a 2500-mile cross-country race from New York to California. You'll want to know the judge's reaction after it was pulled over for speeding in Texas.

To Honor The Son She Lost, A Mom Built A Playground
Every kid deserves a place to play and have fun. Amy Barzach is one of the people who is fully dedicated to making that dream a reality. In the early 90s, Amy's son Jonathan was born with spinal muscular atrophy (which is similar to Lou Gherig's Disease). One day while at the park with 9-month-old Jonathan, Amy noticed a young girl in a wheelchair, who was unable to play on the jungle gyms and other park features. This inspired Amy to action-she decided that kids living with disabilities like her son should have access to parks designed for their unique needs. Two weeks later, Jonathan passed away. 'My family used to say that in Jonathan's dreams, playgrounds would be places where everyone can play,' Amy explains. Determined to honor her son and follow through on her idea, Amy recruited people of all abilities to help her design and create the original Jonathan's Dream playground. Thanks to the supportive community around Amy, Jonathan's Dream opened in 1996 on the campus of the Mandell Jewish Community Center in West Hartford, CT. It quickly became a mecca for children of all abilities, thus helping to usher in a new inclusive movement in playgrounds. The success of Jonathan's Dream led Amy to establish Boundless Playgrounds, a nonprofit for which she served as the Executive Director. Since its inception in 1997, Boundless Playgrounds has built over 200 accessible parks in the U.S. and Canada. The original wooden playground came down in the spring of 2013 due to typical wear and tear, and Amy immediately knew that she wanted to rebuild a new and improved version for a new generation of kids. After extensive fundraising and with massive community support, Jonathan's Dream, reopened in October 2017 with a new motto: 'A Place to Celebrate Life.' Now, more than 20 years after its original unveiling, Jonathan's Dream has been reborn! Kids and adults of all abilities helped build Jonathan's Dream Reimagined. In the process, they also helped preserve Jonathan's memory, while promoting equality and acceptance with a public place designed to be accessible to all. 'It's the first time that we've actually come back to a playground,' says one mom in our video above, as she watches her son enjoy this very special park.

Metro The Painting Racehorse
Many animals are very smart. Like the dog who opens doors, or a monkey who can play chess... But one very special horse has captivated our attention for his unbelievable talent. After retiring from being a racehorse, Metro seemed to be nearing the end of his life. Born with a knee a problem that was the cause of his career's end, he could have been put to sleep. Luckily, Ron Krajewski, an artist from Gettysburg, PA, and his wife, Wendy, adopted him. They quickly fell in love! They knew Metro had a knee condition, but didn't realize how bad. It got to a point where Metro couldn't even go on the trails. A vet told them his condition was terminal, but the horse and his owners didn't take that news lying down. They were going to see to it that Metro continued to fulfill his destiny. After all, he is a very special horse! Ron noticed that Metro liked to bob his head up an down. Naturally, the artist in him had an idea. He put a paint brush in Metro's mouth and beautiful things started happening. Metro was a natural painter! His big, colorful brush strokes would lead him to become a best-selling artist in Gallery 30 in Gettsysburg. The money his paintings earned even saved his life! They had an experimental procedure done which reversed the bone growth. He also donates the rest of his earnings to New Vocations Racehorse Adoption Program, which helps retired thoroughbreds find homes and get new careers. This painting horse not only captivated our attention but also our hearts! Learn more about Metro and see his awesome paintings by visiting paintedbymetro.com and www.facebook.com/PaintedByMetro.

Arctic Hare
Today we are going to learn more about the The arctic hare or polar rabbit. The Arctic hare is a species of hare which is adapted largely to polar and mountainous habitats. The arctic hare survives with a thick coat of fur and usually digs holes in the ground or under snow to keep warm and sleep.
