This particular Hughes 369 registration number N500TN - while flying in VFR cruise flight in December of 2011 following a highway experienced Instrument Meteorological Conditions 9IMC) and subsequently struck marked power lines sustaining substantial damage to the rotor blades. There were no injuries on the helicopter or on the ground and it had only the pilot on board according to the NTSB.
