Robin Day (Tue, 03 Apr 2012 07:53:22 -0500): spooky
Leslie Viner (Tue, 03 Apr 2012 08:08:04 -0500): My husband and I were driving to Fl. for Christmas one yr. The roads were all of a sudden a sheet of ice and accidents everywhere, I got out the video camera and thought I was going to film cars in the ditch to show the kids how bad the roads were, but filmed more accidents, too. You just never know.
Ruthann Porter (Tue, 03 Apr 2012 08:18:56 -0500): wish I could understand what they were saying. I am sure it was for a movie or that show called ice truckers. Who knows. maybe the people behind the tow truck just felt like filming it. I am happy no one was hurt.
Tom Stillman (Tue, 03 Apr 2012 08:35:14 -0500): The only thing that comes to mind is "HOLY CRAP!"
Kattie Moore Dubbs (Tue, 03 Apr 2012 08:37:17 -0500): boy I bet they were scared all the way to the bottom.must have taken at least 3 to 5 min to hit bottom.and to be alrite was a mercurial [sp ].
Randy Ferguson (Tue, 03 Apr 2012 08:39:05 -0500): Strange that this was video taped? Yes, but it was even stranger that he drove off the cliff! There's a fine line between swinging wide to make a turn and driving off a cliff! I guess he knows that now! And we all know the definition of Skedaddle now. It's what that tow truck driver did! This would make a good "Depends" commercial! :) <3.
Jacqueline Kilips (Tue, 03 Apr 2012 08:46:59 -0500): Surprising no one was injured. Was it staged?
Becky Day (Tue, 03 Apr 2012 10:25:36 -0500): According to the information Mel was able to gather, the driver of the semi wasn't badly injured.
Nancy Wilson Ball (Tue, 03 Apr 2012 17:25:54 -0500): How could they possibly stage this???
Leslie Munson (Tue, 03 Apr 2012 09:07:38 -0500): Not much excites Norwegians it would appear. Let's see, a tow truck being dagged down a cliff by the truck it's towing, no biggie. We need these folks around during an earthquake in California.
Dianne Love Nelson (Tue, 03 Apr 2012 09:07:49 -0500): what surprises me is that they folks filming this were so calm. I would have been freaking out.
Brenda Parrott (Tue, 03 Apr 2012 09:47:22 -0500): I wonder why it was being filmed, strange really but it goes to show anything can happen when you least expect it.
Joe Waggoner (Tue, 03 Apr 2012 10:15:15 -0500): You'd think that they could have come up with a better way than that of clearing the trees for a better veiw of the river!
Karen J Hardin (Tue, 03 Apr 2012 10:22:52 -0500): Who is the guy in the green vest? The guy who jumped out of the tow truck was wearing a red or orange vest.
Becky Day (Tue, 03 Apr 2012 10:28:28 -0500): It's too bad... what a big loss of money and machinery. Actually, I prefer heartwarming, funny, informative or inspirational videos. This one isn't in any way something I enjoyed seeing.
Les McNary (Tue, 03 Apr 2012 10:55:06 -0500): Better yet. Film getting those two trucks out of there.
Deborah Reed-Boden (Tue, 03 Apr 2012 11:15:07 -0500): I once barely escaped a 70-car pile-up in the mountains outside of Denver. Black ice & fog made a deadly mess of it. Spent about 15 minutes pulled over, shaking, after it was over. Why not me? Not my turn...
Sandra Cooper (Tue, 03 Apr 2012 11:29:49 -0500): someone was watching over them that day.
Sherry Forbes Findlay (Tue, 03 Apr 2012 11:55:57 -0500): Randy, what on earth makes you think he "drove" off the cliff? It was icy, for goodness sake. Perhaps you have never driven on icy roads? I can see clearly how this happened, and as far as why it was being filmed, well, if you saw a semi being towed on a mountain road, wouldn't you be tempted to get out the video camera? I know I would!
Patricia Rodgers Heutsche (Tue, 03 Apr 2012 12:32:10 -0500): There were guard rails there.
Suzanne Barber Bagwell (Tue, 03 Apr 2012 14:13:57 -0500): Something about this just doesn't sit right with me. Lot's of questions!
Donna Lynn (Tue, 03 Apr 2012 14:34:58 -0500): The guy steering the rig must have momentarily fallen asleep. I expect it was cold in that rig as he wasn't driving so there would be no heat and he'd be tired if he had been waiting a long time for the wrecker. Only a thought.
Donna Lynn (Tue, 03 Apr 2012 14:40:22 -0500): As far as the video taping - it could be the cops followed the wrecker in case of a serious accident. Just thought I'd add that little bit on my story.
Debra Gendron (Tue, 03 Apr 2012 14:44:40 -0500): omg
Tom Linton (Tue, 03 Apr 2012 15:40:59 -0500): I saw this terrible event on the news last night!
Nancy Wilson Ball (Tue, 03 Apr 2012 17:31:01 -0500): My brother has driven a semi for more years than I can remember and some of the stories he tells me are absolutely unbelievable...most problems and wrecks for the drivers are caused by 4 whellers (cars)...have no respect for trucks....this couldn't possibly be staged and it's a miracle no one was killed..
Carlton L Spangler (Tue, 03 Apr 2012 18:52:51 -0500): that would be a wild ride.
Claudine Highsmith (Tue, 03 Apr 2012 19:23:40 -0500): They had a guardian Angel looking out for them!
Bobby Tucker (Tue, 03 Apr 2012 19:45:01 -0500): Wow! I'm glad nobody was injured badly. I have a very good friend from Norway who will be interested in seeing this. Thanks for sharing all the great videos Mel! Bobby.
Carmel Jeanne Sciacca Bryant (Tue, 03 Apr 2012 20:20:12 -0500): OMG!
Marcia Brekke (Tue, 03 Apr 2012 20:25:14 -0500): Bobby Tucker, could your good Norwegian friends translate the comments for us? I'm Norwegian by "contamination" as my husband has Norske relatives in that gorgeous country, but not in close contact enough to e-mail them for the info.
Charles Hayes (Tue, 03 Apr 2012 20:42:13 -0500): WOW, the semi driver must have dozed off!
Anthony Lockwood (Tue, 03 Apr 2012 21:27:10 -0500): WOW

About This Video:

Bizarre Tow Truck Accident
Somewhere in Northern Norway - The driver of the big wrecker barely escapes while the driver of the semi rolls down the hill with his rig. According to the little bit of information I could find about this, the driver of the semi was not badly injured. So much for guard rails. Two very lucky people! No one seems to know why this was being filmed.
